Wim Hof Breathing Exercises and Yoga Practices:
Can we influence our immune system? Wim Hof can influence his immune system and it’s not only Him. His students can do it too. Wim Hof wants to show to the world that everybody is able instead of being powerless to have power over his own system.
There are few theories to why Wim Hof can do what he can do and I think that is actually a combination of those theories. One theory is that he has a higher level of brown adipose tissue, or brown fat in his body, which is a heat generating tissue in the body. Studies has shown that people who work outside at cold have higher levels of brown fat. The second theory is that he’s able to secrete a hormone called noradrenaline at will, through breathing and by jumping into cold water. A last theory is that he uses a form of meditation similar to the Tibetan Tummo meditation, which by shutting off the activity of the mind the medabolism gets redirected into generating heat.
Wim Hof believes that by using his method, you can control your own athonomic neurous system and immune system. With Wim Hof methods it may be a lot of benefits for many patients with many different diseases.

Breathing Exercises and Yoga Practices:
Wim Hof studied yoga and meditation for many years, his method is acombination between Tummo Meditation (Fire Meditation, a Tibetan technique found by monks in a need to warm themselves as they meditate outside in snow) and Pranayama. Controlling hyperventilation is the first part of his method. Your stomach must be empty.
Sit in a meditation posture, not thinking, just feel, relax and start to breathe in and out 30 times Just remember, breathing more air than you let out. So inhale fully but don’t exhale all the way out. When inhale you feel your belly rise and when exhale, feel your belly to fall. Than take one last breath and hold it. You may experience some under control hyperventilation symptoms, like lightheaded sensation or body numbness and tingling. By using this technique, you will be able to hold your breath for much longer than usual.
