If you make a research in the web, you will find 100s of articles that talking about the benefits and the anti-inflammatory, antioxidant properties of Turmeric and how good is for your stomach, but as a stomach patient for many year with GERD, Esophagitis and Gastritis I can assure you that for me is not good.
For sure turmeric is some-how good for inflammatory diseases like arthritis, fibromyalgia and so on, but if you taking turmeric for your stomach be sure that it’s working good by eating a small amounts first. For me this is the third time that I had Stomach pain after eating turmeric, so I disaded to make an article about this problem.
Turmeric is acidic and is considered a gastric acid trigger. Many people can experience nausea, stomach upset and diarrhea. Except from the turmeric induced gastric issues, Gallbladder problems are also reported. Another problem with Turmeric is that it may increase the risk of bleeding. No good for gastritis patients.
