The wellness seeker diet is all about balance. We live in a modern society and we need to understand that we can’t follow diets that were found by humans 100.000 years ago or even more when we were close to the monkeys.
With the common sense and respect that Humans are omnivores for about 200,000 years, we need a modern balance diet plan. My target is wellness and wellbeing and that’s why the wellness seeker diet, is the best diet for wellness and wellbeing, is a holistic diet that has to do with reality and modern life and not with what happened long time ago. Like mixed martial arts this diet is a combination of many diet plans.
Wellness Seeker Diet General Rules:
Can I Consume Caffeine?
Caffeine in moderation it’s ok, but only moderate and thats because caffeine is bad for your adrenal glands. Try to get caffeine only from healthy beverages like green tea or Greek coffee etc. I drink some of those beverages one time in 14 days, just for the antioxidants.
Can I Eat Carbs?
Carbohydrates are an essential part of a healthy diet, so yes, but only healthy carbs are allowed and that’s are: Fruits and berries, boil potatoes and sweet potatoes, whole grains include barley, black rice, oats, cereals, whole wheat pastas and breads, legumes etc. Try to eat clean, no processed foods and no GMO. You are allowed to eat carbs only on the day and better as a pre and post workout meals. Try also to not eat carbs together with protein and never eat fruits after or before your meal. You must consume fruits at least an hour after or before meal.
Do we Count Calories on Wellness Seeker Diet?
If your goal is to lose weight and look better, than yes. Counting calories is actually very easy to do these days. There are so many useful apps and websites to help you with this.
What About Dairy?
Dairy is bad for your lymphatic system as it create mucus, so forget about milk and if you like it, than try to have some goat milk, that is closest to human milk. Now because some dairy products have a lot of health benefits like probiotics, protein, healthy fats etc. I recommend to consume dairy products in moderation. From cheese we only recommend healthy choices like Organic, Feta, Pecorino Romano, Cottage Cheese, Ricotta, Aged Cheddar, Blue Cheese, Low-fat Swiss, Goat Cheese etc. Now for yogurt I only recommend Greek yogurt.
Can I Drink Alcohol?
Moderate alcohol consumption may have some substantial health benefits, so yes, alcohol under control it will be ok for your diet.
Enjoy a drink (Wine or Beer better) or two a day it’s good for your well-being. If you go out only two times in a week you can drink for example 4 beers if you are men and 2 glass of wine if you are women. Always count your calories.
What About Protein?
Try to consume your proteins more from plan sources, if not than second is fish and last is meat.
What About Cheat Meals?
Moderate and well-planned cheat meals (two times a week for example) will keep you sane and teach your body to effectively manage extra food, so yes.
Eating Healthy at Ethnic Restaurants:
There are so many healthy Ethnic restaurants out there. Try to eat some Ethnic food like, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Greek or Meditaranian etc. As all of these cuisines may have a lot ingredients like herbs, roots and more that you dont use on your own.

Wellness Seeker Diet Combinations:
Eat like a (Vegan):
Try to eat raw salads and vegetables for a meal within your day.
Also try to get your protein and amino acids more from green vegetables instead of meat. We don’t need so much protein as most people think, and an easy way to get what we need is from foods like nuts, grains, vegetables, beans, seeds, and so on…
Eat More Raw Food:
Humans are more close to Monkeys, so yes many years ago we were only eat fruits, seeds and some vegetables.
Raw food diet is one of the best diets for clean out toxins from the lymphatic system. So that’s mean that we have to fast at least 4 times a year for a week or more with 80 percent fruits and 20 percent greens. There are many ways to do that and we will make another post about fasting with fruits like grapes, apples etc. Also if you eat for example 4 times a day try two of your meals or snacks to be raw, fruits or salads.
Do Some (Keto):
Keto diet is a low carb diet, where the body produces ketones in the liver to be used as energy. I don’t recommend full Keto diet and not all the time, as I like fruits and other healthy carbs to be a part of the wellness diet. Brain and muscles need carbs, so eat healthy carbs with your meals only before and after exercise or only at day is a very good strategy for lose weight.
Eat Like (Paleo):
Paleo diet is almost an omnivore diet like the wellness seeker diet, with the difference that in wellness diet you can eat cereal grains, legumes, healthy dairy and potatoes), so take only the good parts of the stone-age diet and avoid all kind of processed foods.
